NAUTILUS
Golden Mean

NAUTILUS

This is the closest thing to the golden mean I could get in 24 hours, today. As a matter of fact, Fibonacci nautilus overlays quite nicely. :)

A little bit of smooth jazz fusion for today, Bob James - Nautilus (1974).

  1. Pshwoar! This is an excellent Golden Mean. Congrats for being the first to attempt this (that I have noticed)! An excellent example of the composition for a very pleasing result. Well done!

  3. I'm almost certain I have seen you using this object before but I love it's shape and the way you captured it.

  4. Is this a staircase? If so, what an incredible eye you have to have spotted the potential! Lovely choice of accompanying music.

  5. Oh, wonderful shot. You do know that the golden mean doesn't necessarily have to show a line that follows it, but can also be just the way the eye is driven through the image. It can be a woman on a boat on a river with a flag on a mast etc., It is quite amazing that you could find something that actually has the spiral so evident in it. Well done.

  8. I had to really look...and now I see looking up stairs into a skylight...the lighting must have been tricky for you.
