THE WATCHER AND THE TOWER
Monotone

THE WATCHER AND THE TOWER

"The watcher and the tower
Waiting hour by hour."

(Mike Oldfield)

Just sitting there for years, never moving. I bet he could tell a story or two.

  1. Great way to show off the texture and aging. Though suited to your theme, I'd rather forget Memory Gongs. However, I always look forward to your chosen accompanying piece, almost as much as to your photo. ;)

  2. A great subject, but I think it could do with a little more contrast and some deeper blacks. Nice find!

  3. Nice portrait of a statue but maybe a little more less DoF and some more contrast would have made the statue to really come away from the background.
The colors do match very well.

  4. A very interesting head, I wonder where in the city it can be found.

  5. I think he looks like Odo from Star Trek - Deep Space Nine.

  6. He really needs a nose job. Sorry but someone had to say it. :D

  7. I like this but wish the bricks behind were a bit more blurred out and that you add a bit more contrast to your image to create more depth in the art piece.

  9. Fantastic texture on the statue. Don't really like the lines on the bricks behind though.

  10. Good lighting, but this shot didn't really speak to me like all your others. Also, it looks like the statue is monotone anyways, so making it BW doesn't really add to it I think.
