OUTSIDE
Analogous palette

OUTSIDE

I had exactly one hour to do the image for today and no concept at all. Instead of looking through the lens, I've picked one card from the Oblique Strategies deck (Over one hundred worthwhile dilemmas by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt). "Look at a very small object, look at its centre" - that was my card.

My getaway project is done. Can you guess how big is that thing on the image?

And the music?! I got something different for today, Jakob - Saint, really great post-rock band from Napier, New Zealand.

  1. This shot is lovely. Very nicely done and even tho I live in New Zealand I've never heard of todays band!

  2. I'm guessing that's a tiny sculpture thing. About 3 inches high? Maybe? A great choice for analogous palette, although I can't help but wonder what a little more contrast might do for it.

  3. I would have guessed a couple feet tall, but aparently it's more like a couple inches, huh? I love your lighting and background.

  4. Gorgeous lighting and wonderful shot for analogous palette! I might have left a scrap of space at each side of the sculpture, but I'm guessing that wouldn't have been possible without having too much on top. That's just a teeny nitpick though - unfair actually, cos it's such a lovely pic.

  5. This certainly is probably very tiny. I kind of wish there was more background to offset the amount of detail and texture which almost is overwhelming. Still, a well taken shot.

    Evrything is very well done.
This would be great printed out big on a wall.

  7. It's probably very small but it looks as if it barely fits your frame. I love the serene golden light, very relaxing.

  11. Is this one of those small Japanese cork designs? Like about 3 cm tall or so?

I love the colour! Would have left a little bit more space on either side though. I kept going back to see whether you cut off part of the object, because somehow I thought you did.
