IN PARADISUM
Macro

IN PARADISUM

When I sense the smell of old polished mahogany furniture and see a mechanical alarm clock like this one, I'm always expecting to hear a mixture of hypnotic metal ticking and The Carpenters. Since I can't stand The Carpenters, here's the deal: Gabriel Fauré - In Paradisum from his Requiem in D minor, Op.48. :)

  1. Fantastic colours and lovely crisp macro work! Love that off-kilter composition. Great work, as usual!

  2. The colour and texture are very rich and accentuate the intricate details. Your wonderful choice of music completely changed how I was perceiving this object.

  3. Don't like The Carpenters -- what??? ;) The piece you selected is really beautiful. I reallly like the way you captured the details in the photo. I'm thinking I should take a photo of my alarm clock. Wonder what technique I could use?

And it's very sad you don't like the carpenters.
