IN PARADISUM
MacroWhen I sense the smell of old polished mahogany furniture and see a mechanical alarm clock like this one, I'm always expecting to hear a mixture of hypnotic metal ticking and The Carpenters. Since I can't stand The Carpenters, here's the deal: Gabriel Fauré - In Paradisum from his Requiem in D minor, Op.48. :)
Fantastic colours and lovely crisp macro work! Love that off-kilter composition. Great work, as usual!
ReplyDeleteThe colour and texture are very rich and accentuate the intricate details. Your wonderful choice of music completely changed how I was perceiving this object.
ReplyDeleteDon't like The Carpenters -- what??? ;) The piece you selected is really beautiful. I reallly like the way you captured the details in the photo. I'm thinking I should take a photo of my alarm clock. Wonder what technique I could use?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jujubie here. The piece of music also made this piece extremely special. Wow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful lighting, composition, color and texture.
ReplyDeleteFabulous detail.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's very sad you don't like the carpenters.
Lovely graphic composition. I know a couple of carpenters but didn't know they sang. :P
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tones.
ReplyDeleteFantastic close up...with lots of curves and angles.
